Abstract
Three studies are summarized which disclose accelerated road construction to be uneconomical for public timber production units in the Douglas-fir region of Oregon and Washington. These findings suggest that recommendations 30, 33, and 36 of the Public Land Law Review Commission Report are inconsistent.
