Abstract

The Joint Commission appointed Ronald M. Wyatt, MD, MHA, as the new medical director for the enterprise. Wyatt's office operates within The Joint Commission's Division of Healthcare Improvement. As medical director, Wyatt's role will be to promote quality improvement and patient safety to internal and external stakeholders. He will also work to advance public policy and legislation designed to improve patient safety in the United States. Wyatt will also serve as the lead information and education resource for patient safety within The Joint Commission. Also, "Top 5 in the News."
