Abstract

This paper describes a participatory research process designed to gather and structure community knowledge (local and scientific) into a single accessible decision support system, based on case-based reasoning methodologies. Special reference is made to the continuous enhancement of the knowledge base through research (by scientists), and implementation and monitoring of management action outcomes (by land managers).
