Abstract
This paper provides an interpretation of four pollen diagrams from the Moslem archaeological site at Madinat al-Zahra (936 -1010). Diagrams indicate various periods of occupation, from before the building of the city up to the present day, and including the period of Moorish occupation. The various taxa detected, and the different concentrations observed, enable these periods to be delimited.
