Abstract

Purpose: To illustrate the usefulness of Ultra Wide Field Angiography in the diagnosis of aneurysmal retinal telangiectasia based on the findings of a patient attending The Instituto de Microcirugia Ocular (IMO) in Barcelona, Spain. Design: Case Report. Methods: We are reporting the case of a 51-year-old man with a 5-year history of decrease vision in his right eye associated with metamorphopsia. A wide field fluorescein angiography was obtained, exhibiting the presence of aneurysmal abnormalities within the juxtafoveal region and also in the temporal midperiphery. Conclusions: We believe our patient may exhibit some of the features corresponding to type I telangiectasia. Ultra Wide Field angiography was a useful tool in the diagnosis.
