Abstract
Asthma is a complex, multifactorial disorder for which there are many potential therapeutic approaches. This article analyses the patenting activity of the past four years to identify significant new therapeutic approaches. It also speculates on the possible success of certain approaches and on patenting trends that are likely to be seen in the next few years.
