Abstract

A nematode, parasitic on the roots of eucalyptus trees in Victoria is described and a new genus proposed. The species is sexually dimorphic. The female becomes sessile and eggs, accompanied by gelatinous material, are found singly. It has a single anterior gonad, the body is swollen when mature and the tail is short and rounded. The oesophageal glands overlap the intestine dorsally and the oesophagus of the male is reduced.
