Abstract
This article describes the outcome from the Disease-Specific Care Stroke Performance Measure Advisory Panel regarding administration of t-PA. It gives an in-depth analysis of the STK-4 measure, including how it's computed and what is the impact on measure rates if patients have t-PA later than 3 hours, whether hospitals are penalized for missing the target, and what reviewers look for with the measure?
