Abstract
The organic conductor bis(tetrathiotetracene)triiodide, (TTT)2I3, was prepared by Isett and Perez-Albuerne. The composition of the charge-transfer complex is shown in Scheme 1. This material was shown to be among the best of presently known organic conductors with a conductivity of 1000 Ω−1 cm−1 at room temperature. In order to study the iodide structure in this novel "organic metal" we have examined its resonance Raman characteristics. This method has been employed in previous measurements of other conducting iodides.
