Abstract

Five species of coprophilous pyrenomycetes are described and illustrated in this paper. Sporormia fimetaria, Preussia dakotensis, P. kansensis, and P. minipascua are recorded as new to Taiwan. One new species of Preussia, P. minipolymera is proposed, which is characterized by small, 15-celled ascospores, and the largest cell of each ascospore being the seventh cell from upper end. Four combinations of Sporormiella species to Preussia are proposed. A key to the species of Sporormia and Preussia recorded in Taiwan is also provided.
