Abstract
The scientific publications of Axel Leonard Melander (June 3, 1878 - August 14, 1962) totaling 168 titles were published over a period of 65 years. This article presents a list of these publications and also provides a list of the 1,118 names proposed by Dr. Melander for both fossil and recent Insecta and Arachnida. Outstanding among Dr. Melander's publications is his monumental work on the family Empididae in the series
