Abstract
When for the first time in my life, at almost 50 years of age, I came to the United States to visit a colleague in Florida, a Danish born man whom many of you will know by name—E. T. Nielsen, the mosquito man—he immediately told me: “By all means don't tell anybody you are an entomologist. They will think you want to spray their fields.”
