Abstract

During the summer of 1970, a group of students was asked to conduct an evaluation of graduate training in entomology within various entomology and nonentomology departments. My particular assignment was to coordinate that portion of the evaluation which pertained to a separate department of entomology in a school of liberal arts and sciences (or its equivalent). Questionnaires were sent to the children of two representative departments and to the graduate students within each of these departments. Additional information was gained through questionnaires sent to recent graduates and through personal interviews with graduate students, recent graduates, and faculty members.
