Abstract
A unique solution for the magnetic susceptibility of a half-space has been found as a function of current signals of an MB-5 conveyer inductive sensor [1] on the basis of the known studies of ill-posed problems with a priori information [5]. The a priori condition is presented in the form of a differential equality of functions of the signals from the first and second probes. It is ascertained that, regardless of the form of the functions executing this equality, the versions of the calculation formulas used to monitor the iron contained in magnetite are equally accurate.
