Abstract

Tetraphenylantimony diphenacylphosphinate was synthesized by reacting pentaphenylantimony with diphenacylphosphinic acid or triphenylantimony bis(diphenacylphosphinate) in toluene (with a yield up to 88%). According to X-ray diffraction data, the antimony atom in tetraphenylantimony diphenacylphosphinate molecule has a trigonal bipyramidal coordination to the axial oxygen atom. The four Sb–C and one Sb–O distances and CaxSbO angle are equal to 2.102(2), 2.104(2), 2.104(2), 2.169(2), 2.347(1) Å and 176.69(5)°, respectively.
