Abstract

The thermodynamic and kinetic stability of hydrobromides of some dipyrrolylmethenes, their furyl and thienyl derivatives, and biladienes-a,c in various aggregation states was studied in relation to the compound structure, medium, and temperature. Correlations were found between the basicity (characterized by proton affinity) of the heterocycles and enthalpies of vaporization of HBr from their crystalline salts, calculated from the data of computer simulation and thermogravimetric analysis. These correlations can be used for assessing the thermal and kinetic stability of salts of linear oligopyrroles.
