Abstract
The 2012 European Conference on Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering was held in March in the Palais des Congrès, Strasbourg, France. Attendance was just over 100, very largely from France and Germany. The objective of the Conference was to review the latest advances in the field and look at the new possibilities offered by improved precision in treatment combinations, progress in modelling, and innovations indicated by academic research and tested in industry.
