Abstract
In the adjustment of the measured dimensions of the lines of a doubly-braced geodetic quadrilateral, the condition equation coefficients of the adjustments to the measured lengths can be represented very simply by a closed system of vectors. From a knowledge of one coefficient the others can be scaled with adequate precision. The graphical display of the amounts of the coefficients enables a very clear appreciation to be had of the situation in general and leads to some interesting conclusions. The principle derived is illustrated by an example used in a previous contribution, and a new method of computing angle corrections is derived.
