Abstract
The present investigation deals with the elaboration of methods for checking the labelled composition of seed mixtures. Statistical methods and a simple software package were developed to test both the compatibility of two independent laboratory tests and the compliance of a seed sample with a specified composition of seed lots. The importance of the power of the tests is explained through an example. Practical considerations and perspectives for future improvements are mentioned.
