Abstract
The stripping of combustible forest materials (thin twigs and needles) by explosion of a cord charge are studied by mathematical modeling of blast-wave propagation in a forest canopy for the placement of the cord charge at different heights. The calculation results allow one to reduce the consumption of explosives in extinguishing crown forest fires.
