Abstract
Highly disperse metal oxide layers whose properties and structure significantly alter the physicochemical characteristics of fibre-forming polymers were applied on the surface of synthetic fibres. A mechanism of formation of surface oxide structures is proposed and possible areas of application of such modified fibres are indicated.
