Abstract

A method for the indirect measurement of the parameters of the law of pitting growth based on the coulometric method is considered, and its accuracy compared with the double-focusing method is analyzed. Variance analysis is used to analyze the accuracy. It is established that an indirect measurement using the coulometric method is more effective than the method based on microscope double focusing, since there is less variance of the results of an estimation of the parameters of the pitting growth law.
