Abstract
Informational “quanta” such as Gabor's logon and an uncertainty product called here a “sonon”, are demonstrated to be dimensionless and basic measurements. A lowest common bound defines their limits. Both measurements can be given a precise inner product HILBERT space representation referencing a higher-order quantum, called here a “unitron”. Without referencing absolute energy levels, such informational quanta describe the distribution of energy in basic measurement dimensions and thus provide a metric more fundamental than those dimensions.
