Abstract

The crystal structure of 4,7,13,16,21,24-hexaoxa-1,10-diazoniabicyclo-[8.8.8]hexacosane semihydrate oxonium tribromide, [H2(2.2.2-Crypt)·0.55H2O]2+·H3O+·3Br− (I) was determined by XRD analysis. The triclinic structure of I (space group P $$\bar 1$$ , a = 10.026 Å, b = 11.292 Å, c = 13.115 Å, α = 78.37°, β = 72.11°, γ = 77.50°, Z = 2) was solved by direct methods; full-matrix least-squares refinement in an anisotropic approximation converged to R = 0.055 for all 4057 independent reflections collected (CAD-4 automatic diffractometer, λCuK α).
