Abstract
The state of problems for preparing and using multilayer nanostructured heat-generating films and coatings is considered. A method is proposed for preparing binary Ti/Al coatings. The composition, structure, adhesion and tribological properties of coatings on substrates of various materials are studied. It is shown that the hardness of a Ti/Al coating increases with a reduction in single layer thickness.
