Abstract

The aim of the reported studies was to determine the catalytic behaviour of M—C systems (M=Pt, Pd and Ru) towards hydrogenolysis of the C—X bond (X=Cl and F). The level of noble metal loading is reflected in the size of the metal clusters formed on the surface of the carbon support and affects the product distribution and the amount of carbonaceous deposit formed upon the conversion of CCl2F2.
