Abstract
A procedure for ensuring correct operation of remote protection together with monitoring of the increase in current under swinging and asynchronous behavior conditions is considered. Relations are derived which enable an estimate to be made of the behavior of the protection and enable the requirements on the arrangements of the protections under swinging and asynchronous behavior conditions to be determined, for which they function correctly in power systems with specified parameters.
