Abstract
The lightning protection of substations in regions with low ground conductivity is analyzed. A risk factor of lightning strikes in the near sections of overhead power lines is proposed, and the effectiveness of a differentiated approach to choosing lightning-protection measures and the use of the lightning danger index is shown.
