Abstract
A study of LiNbO3 through the ferroelectric-paraelectric and melting transitions is reported, mainly by Raman scattering under microscope. This allowed to evidence unexpected features in the liquid phase, and more precisely the formation of solid inclusions (≈50μm) which look to increase in number upon heating. So large inclusions have never been reported in this phase and results of thermal analysis, X-Ray and SEM characterizations are presented here.
