Abstract

Magnetoelectric (ME) laminate composite Terfenol-D/LiNbO3((zxtw)-129°/30°) was studied. It shows a much higher ME voltage coefficient (αE) compared with the laminate using normal cut type of LiNbO3 single crystal. The αE has a wide frequency peak (bandwidth of 40 kHz) and more than one optimized bias magnetic field under high frequencies. The mechanism was discussed in this article.
