Abstract

The totally depolarized Raman bands of benzene-h 6 , &ngr; 16 and &ngr; 2 + &ngr; 18 modes coupled by Fermi coupling, have been studied as a function of pressure and temperature. The spectra were analysed using a model based on the projection-operator formalism. The results obtained show the slight influence of the intermolecular interaction on the intramolecular potential and vibrational relaxation.
