Abstract
Odor generation is the most pressing issue facing existing and proposed biosolids recycling facilities. Odor is often the reason that operating facilities are shut down, and a community's fear of odors often keeps facilities from being sited. The following paper is a discussion of how odor modeling can be used both to demonstrate projected compliance with regulatory or community odor restrictions and to evaluate different odor control technologies before you build without the high cost of equipment or construction.
