Abstract

The indium catalysed additions of electron-rich alkenes and heteroaromatics to an activated -imino ester is described. The moisture-sensitive substrate is prepared in situ facilitating a convenient synthesis of unnatural -amino acid derivatives in one-pot from commercially available reagents.
