Abstract

We calculated the half-lives of two-neutrino double beta decay &$(2 u beta beta )$; of 76Ge, 82Se, 96Zr and 100Mo nuclei for the 0+ ↦ 0+ transition. Quasiparticle random phase approximation (QRPA) was used by considering the charge-exchange spin–spin interactions among the nucleons by considering both particle–hole (p–h) and particle–particle (p–p) channels in the separable form. Calculations were performed for the spherical form of the nuclei.
