Abstract
This autobiographical statement discusses personal, contextual and intellectual influences that I perceive as influencing my journey towards developing an identity as a community psychologist. Little was really planned; rather many fortuitous events occurred both in my personal space and in the larger societal context. These somehow interacted and I became an accidental community psychologist.
