Abstract

In 2000, the National Committee on Planned Giving conducted a survey of planned gift donors to examine their motivations and the characteristics of their gifts. The author reviews the findings of that survey and considers its implications for prospect identification, cultivation of professional advisors, stewardship, donor recognition and program evaluation.
