Abstract
An enhanced radiographic image usually seems blurred. In order to sharpen the enhanced image, a novel image processing method is proposed that makes the enhanced image clearer. After redefining the dark channel of the radiographic images, the procedure of the haze removal method is presented. In this method, the original image, the enhanced image and the haze removal image can be taken as a natural scene on dark, foggy and sunny days, respectively. The comparative experiments and quantitative analysis prove that this method can improve the image quality. Thus, this method can be taken as an effective post-processing method for the enhanced image.
