Abstract
In the molecule of the title complex, [Cu(NCS)2(C5H5N)4], the CuII atom is bonded in a distorted octahedral arrangement to two N atoms of two SCN− and four N atoms of four pyridine ligands. A crystallographic twofold rotation axis passes through the Cu atom, and the N and para‐C atoms of two trans pyridine rings. In the crystal structure, weak π–π stacking interactions cause the formation of a supramolecular network structure.
