Abstract

The title ternary mixed‐ligand chromium(III) complex, [Cr(C₅H₇O₂)(C₂O₄)(C₁₂H₈N₂)]·3H₂O, features a distorted octahedral geometry completed by three different bidentate chelating ligands, viz. 1,10‐phenanthroline, acetylacetonate and oxalate. Complex molecules are linked by π–π stacking interactions between phenanthroline rings, and C—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form a three‐dimensional structure.
