Abstract

The molecular structure of the title compound, [Ir2I2(C8H12)2], has C2 symmetry. The dinuclear structure features two bridging I atoms and a bent geometry for the Ir2(μ‐I)2 core, with a hinge angle of 95.26 (1)°.
