Abstract

This article supports a belief that individuals educated in safe educational environments which promote risk-taking founded in humility will not only encourage progress and inquiry in truth-seeking, but will help the learner gain subsequent identity, acceptance, and recognition from others, as well. Moreover, this article offers a comparison of binary thinking to inquiry-based constructivist critical thinking (gray-thinking or free-thinking) leading to further discussion concerning the meanings of what comprises an educated individual.
