Abstract
Smart substations are deployed various types of sensors to monitor and control some devices and environment, and transmit the related parameters or data to the intelligent decision system. However, due to the limitation of resource, sensors tend to be captured or controlled by adversaries. In this paper, we present a dual-level key management based history keys, which can authenticate member sensors and their keys. Furthermore, we also adopt a cluster architecture, which cannot only localize the attack range but also reduce the energy consumption effectively. The security analysis shows our solution can verify the malicious node and authenticate key to protect the sense system in the smart substation.
