Abstract
Determination of geometrical parameters of theoretical tooth profile for fine-module ratchet tooth in which the contacting surfaces of the teeth are formed by the straight segments is considered in this paper. The design scheme and equations for determination of the main geometrical parameters of the proposed straight tooth profile are obtained. The effect of module and gradient angle on the theoretical length of teeth straight working surfaces is investigated. The proposed straight tooth profile allows to increase the load capacity and manufacturability of ratchet tooth.
