Abstract
We show theoretically that by combining two or more finitesuperlattices, it is possible to realize an omnidirectionalacoustic mirror that prevents propagation of acoustic waves overa wide range of frequencies. An appropriate choice of the elasticparameters in the superlattices enables us to propose astructure in which any incident wave launched from any type ofsubstrate (or vacuum) falls inside a minigap of the coupled SLsand therefore undergoes a total reflection.
