Abstract
This article describes a new measurement tool which could be used to study the acceptability of playwork interventions from the perspective of children: the Day Reconstruction Method – Child version (DRM-C). It explores acceptability by comparing a specific intervention, in terms of how enjoyable and rewarding children find it, to other daily activities. The measure was pilot-tested on 18 children taking part in a healthy lifestyle intervention for children at risk of obesity-related health disorders to determine if it could measure how acceptable the programme was to those taking part, as well as their feelings and thoughts towards particular activities within the programme. Limitations and how these can be overcome in future research are discussed.
