Methanosarcina mazei sRNA41 is the first archaeal sRNA that interacts with several ribosome binding sites within a polycistronic mRNA. This 120 nt regulatory RNA is highly expressed under N‐sufficiency and is antisense to the translation initation region of multiple target genes as shown in a multi‐sequence alignment (top).
