Abstract
A novel approach of highly porous structures formation is described, which is based on deposition of ion-sputtered substance in vicinity to thermodynamical equilibrium. The advantages of proposed technological systems are both self-organization of low supersaturation and accumulation of deposited substance near growth surface. The main stages of Al porous structures formation have been determined on the basis of electron microscopy and diffraction studies. It is shown that the pores formation is a result of strong dependence of condensate local growth rates on surface curvature. The character of Al porous structures formation is established to be cyclic, that is caused by predominant impact of either field selectivity or the Gibbs-Thomson effect on local condensation.
