Abstract
In the Cambridge Advanced Level Mathematics curriculum, the binomial expansion for non-positive integral powers is taught at the pre-university level. In this note, a less conventional way of introducing this topic to pre-university students is proposed, leading them to the underlying meaning of the binomial series expansion and the relevance of infinite series without the rigours of university mathematics.
