Abstract

This paper provides records and short descriptions of six species of Lernaeopodidae and one of Naobranchiidae, found in Australian waters. Four of these species ( Brachiella magna, B. tetrici, Thysanote gymnobrachiata and Clavellodes pterobrachiata ) are new to science, one ( Pseudocharopinus dasyaticus ) was previously described from India, the sixth had already been known from Australia ( Anaclavella sillaginoides ), while the seventh ( Naobranchia variabilis ) occurs on many hosts in widely separated localities.
