Abstract
AgNO3-impregnated prep-TLC purification of the wax extract of Cocos nucifera allowed the isolation and identification of skimmiwallinin (8) as an additional skimmiwallinol derivative from the cuticular wax of coconut palms. Identification was based on the comparison of its spectroscopic data with those reported in the literature.
